Help us provide care for more than 14,000 uninsured patients in 2020
Your support of Neighborhood Health provides vital health care to our community
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Creating a Medical Home for Moms and their Newborns
On November 4, Neighborhood Health began providing prenatal care at our Casey Clinic to low-income and uninsured women living in the City of Alexandria who had previously received care from the Alexandria Health Department. We believe that integrating prenatal care into our comprehensive, high quality, and affordable medical home would be in the best interest of these women and their newborn babies, and also consistent with our mission and priorities.
At least 650 low-income, uninsured women will receive prenatal care from Neighborhood Health annually.
Expanding access to health care to 28,500 low-income neighbors
In 2020, in addition to our new focus on prenatal care, we will continue to expand access to care and meaningfully impact the health and lives of those we are privileged to serve. We estimate that a total of 28,500 patients will receive care from us in 2020 at our 13 clinics.
Neighborhood Health has been providing high quality health care to low-income, uninsured and under-insured patients since 1997. We started providing medical care to women and children out of a two-bedroom apartment in the Arlandria community of Alexandria. Today we are providing medical, dental and behavioral health services to over 23,000 patients across 13 clinics in the City of Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County. Almost 50% of our patients are uninsured.
Neighborhood Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we rely on the support of generous individuals like you to help us to continue to meet the needs of our patients. Your donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Federal ID: 54-1849891.
Please join us in our mission to improve health and advance health equity in Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County by providing high quality primary care regardless of ability to pay. We have many neighbors in need who rely on us.
