Dear Friends and Supporters of Neighborhood Health’s Mission,
I want to express my deepest appreciation to each and every one of you – both our long-time supporters as well as those who recently joined us – for your generous contributions to help meet the basic primary healthcare needs of thousands of neighbors who have few or no other options to access the care they need.
You – our donor and grantor community - make this work possible, and enable us to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and patient-centered services. In so doing, you transform thousands of lives with your caring support.
And thanks to this generosity, Neighborhood Health is able to provide high-quality life-changing primary health care to more than 41,000 neighbors -- children and adults who today are building healthier and more hopeful lives!
This is a testament to what we can accomplish together. We are grateful to each of you and for the role you play in advancing our mission every single day!
But despite this remarkable progress, Neighborhood Health and other community health centers are experiencing significant new challenges due to the following:
- Critical pandemic funding that helped support the expansion of our clinical capacity expired this year. And we need to protect this clinical capacity!
- Dramatic increases in inflationary operational costs – an increase of 56% in the last five years.
- Significant increases in healthcare workforce competition and costs.
For all the above reasons, we need your support now more than ever!
It takes all of us working together—each one doing our part—to make sure our shared vision becomes a reality!
With much gratitude, Basim Khan, MD, MPA - CEO
